The enclosures are quite large - four feet long, four feet high, and almost 3 feet wide. As you can see, the top, walls and floor are solid wood covered with Formica. This means one cannot poke a foot through to another's quarters - or upset a neighbor by using bad 'kitty language' ! There's a shelf in the back with the bed on it and space to stretch out; they can jump down to the floor to the food and water or to play or just to check out what's going on. ![]() This is Tuli a frequent visitor And of course, there are the really shy ones or those who have never been away from home except to visit their doctor, and they have no idea what on earth is going on! Most of the time, it only takes a day or so for them to adjust. I can see them thinking "well, it's really not all that bad, there's a nice lady who feeds me and changes my litter-box maybe I'll let her pet me a bit so she feels better" :) ![]() Spot .... Another Frequent Guest :-) Most of my 'guests' have a turn out of their enclosure (by themselves, not with other cats) for a while every day or so, when he or she can walk around the cattery, look out a window or sit on a rug and look out the door. The glass in them is just low enough for a kitty to sit, poke a head under the curtain and watch the birds, butterflies or whatever else catches their attention. ![]() One can see a certain someone had been poking a head through the curtains ... the better to see what's going on outside. . . . Or they can sit by the dining room door and watch as I move around the house, watch TV, talk on the phone - all the normal things their family does at home. And after all that strenuous activity, of course, one can then jump onto the chair or the top of an enclosure and take a good long nap! Even when they're in their own enclosure, they have the Cattery TV which I leave on most days and evenings as I know a lot of folks do at home. ![]() This was taken at Silky's time to wander the cattery. There's a spot just waiting for your feline friends to come stay with me for a bit while you are away - please give a call and make their reservation . . . 954-472-7276 catkennel87@aol.com |
